Puppies weaning age and implications for dog welfare - article from Purdue University

This is an interesting article that discusses the relation when a puppy is weaned from its Mum - transition from mother's milk to solid food - and the importance of doing it slowly so puppies still learn the so important social skills from its parents and siblings- like bite inhibition, first playful interactions and parents teach them their first 'boundaries' lessons.
